WATCH: Teresa Giudice to take part in new Bravo special -- from prison

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" premieres Oct. 11 at 8 p.m.

Teresa Giudice is heading back to reality television -- from behind bars.

Teresa, who is nearing the end of a 15-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Conn., can be heard (if not seen) on an upcoming three-part Bravo special, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In."

"It's amazing how she still controls everything from in there, you know what I mean?" Joe Giudice says, of his wife, in the trailer released this week.

"Oh, please God, bring me home to my family as soon as possible," Teresa is heard saying, as she prays in one call.

Teresa, 43, is set to return home by Christmas to serve the remainder of her term under home confinement. Her sentence came after she and Joe pleaded guilty to numerous conspiracy, mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges.

The couple's Bravo special follows Joe as he tries to manage the household and raise their four daughters -- Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana -- apparently with some help from Teresa's parents and her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa.

In the video clip, Joe says he's lost about 10 pounds since Teresa's been incarcerated.

He also meets with Teresa's lawyer and addresses whether his wife and kids will follow him, should he be deported. Joe is not a U.S. citizen and could be sent back to Italy after serving a 41-month sentence. He is set to begin his sentence in January.

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas staggered the couple's sentences, so that one parent will be available to care for their daughters while the other is in prison.
