WATCH: Teresa Giudice to take part in new Bravo special -- from prison
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" premieres Oct. 11 at 8 p.m.
Teresa Giudice is heading back to reality television -- from behind bars.
Teresa, who is nearing the end of a 15-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Conn., can be heard (if not seen) on an upcoming three-part Bravo special, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In."
"It's amazing how she still controls everything from in there, you know what I mean?" Joe Giudice says, of his wife, in the trailer released this week.
"Oh, please God, bring me home to my family as soon as possible," Teresa is heard saying, as she prays in one call.

Teresa, 43, is set to return home by Christmas to serve the remainder of her term under home confinement. Her sentence came after she and Joe pleaded guilty to numerous conspiracy, mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges.
The couple's Bravo special follows Joe as he tries to manage the household and raise their four daughters -- Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana -- apparently with some help from Teresa's parents and her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa.
In the video clip, Joe says he's lost about 10 pounds since Teresa's been incarcerated.
He also meets with Teresa's lawyer and addresses whether his wife and kids will follow him, should he be deported. Joe is not a U.S. citizen and could be sent back to Italy after serving a 41-month sentence. He is set to begin his sentence in January.
U.S. District Judge Esther Salas staggered the couple's sentences, so that one parent will be available to care for their daughters while the other is in prison.

UPDATE: Trooper's shattered window sparked manhunt, lane closures
CLINTON -- Police closed off a stretch of I-78 in both directions as part of an "active investigation" early Saturday morning.
State Police spokesman Capt. Stephen Jones said K9 units and a State Police helicopter had been deployed during a search for "a possible subject."
He declined to comment further on the nature of the investigation. State Police later said in a Facebook post no troopers or civilians had been injured in the incident, and sought to dispel "misinformation" circulating on social media that the search was related to a prison or jail escape.
"We want to make it clear that no troopers or civilians have been injured in the incident being investigated on I-78 in Clinton Township," they wrote. "Additionally, we have received no reports of escapes from any correctional facilities."
The State Police posted on their Twitter account that the highway was blocked off at milepost 19.5, advising drivers to expect major delays.

Drivers began reporting around 9:30 that the highway's eastbound lanes had reopened.
@spsullivan @njdotcom Route 78 east is open. I'm on it right now. Slow in parts, but at least it's not a parking lot like westbound.

Restaurant bites: 4 great dining deals for late September
From Wine Week events to Octoberfest, there are plenty of great events worth raising a glass and saying cheers among friends.
All of the news this week seems to be centering on Pope Francis landing on U.S. soil. But for those looking to avoid the crowds, New Jersey restaurants have some non-Pope-Francis-related promotions closing out September.
SOUTH JERSEY FOOD AND WINE WEEK
New Jersey Wine Week might be taking place through Sept. 27, but it doesn't necessarily mean the celebrations and tributes have to come to an end on Sunday. South Jersey Food and Wine Week takes place from Sept. 27 through Oct. 2, with close to 40 restaurants -- spread across Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties -- participating. The deal is simple: four courses for $35 with each of the chefs putting together special menus for the event. The complete list of restaurants can be found here. Reservations are recommended.
IRON ROOM CELEBRATES WINE WEEK
The Iron Room, Iron Room, the bar and lounge inside the Atlantic City Bottle Co. (Atlantic City's first speakeasy since prohibition), has earned high accolades for its impressive wine collection. (Earlier this year, The Iron Room was presented with a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator.) On Wednesday, the Atlantic City-based establishment will be teaming up with the Garden State Wine Growers Assoc. for a three-hour event (6 to 9 p.m.), with a special menu of hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $20, and reservations are required. For more information, call 609-348-6400. 648 N. Albany Ave., Atlantic City.
MEATLESS MONDAYS
Dos Caminos, part of BR Guest Hospitality, is now part of the Meatless Monday movement at its Harrah's Resort location. Special dishes being conjured up by executive chef Ivy Stark include polkanes yucatecos -- pumpkin seed and fava bean fritters with roasted tomato pepita salad; vegetable tacos -- calabacitas, local patty pan, pinto beans, grilled avocado, salsa verde and quinoa tortillas. 777 Harrah's Blvd., Atlantic City.
OCTOBERFEST
Late September and beer go hand-in-hand. This annual autumn tradition takes place in Munich, Germany every October. No need to purchase an expensive plane ticket to enjoy all of the festivities, though. Several restaurants around the Garden State are getting in on the action. What is being billed as the New Jersey/New York metro area's "most authentic Octoberfest" kicks off on Friday at Pilsener Haus in Hoboken, 1422 Grand St., with music, beer and a traditional menu. Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten, 527 Lake Ave., which opened earlier this year, is hosting "The Jersey Shore's First Authentic Octoberfest," complete with polka bands every weekend, keg tapping, giant imported pretzels and more.
